the method

how we choose our companies.

Three pillars. Every company in our fund is screened before any money goes in. Fail one pillar and it’s out, however good the story is.

Sign-up happens in the app. The subscription is $10 a month, $120 a year. The minimum to invest in the fund is $100.

what every company clears

three pillars, one screen

The same three questions get asked of every company, in the same order, whichever theme it sits under. Financial robustness comes first, because the whole idea is impact without sacrificing your returns.

pillar 1

financial robustness

Impact only works if the businesses behind it are financially strong. Every company in the fund has the scale and the stability to deliver returns and to keep driving change.

how big do companies need to be?

Valued at over $500 million, with a market presence anyone can look up. Companies people have actually heard of, not a startup burning cash.

do they actually make money?

Yes. EBITDAEarnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation. How much a company makes from its actual operations, before the accountants start doing their thing. above $100 million. At least $500 million in annual revenue. Profit margins in the 5% to 10% range.

can anyone check these companies?

They are all publicly listedAnyone can buy their shares on the stock market. Their finances, leadership and performance are public record. No hiding., so the finances, the leadership and the track record are public. You can look them up yourself, and every holding is named in the app.

pillar 2

purposeful impact

Impact is not a side project. It sits at the core of the businesses we back, in what they sell and how they make it.

how do you measure impact?

Against the Impact Management ProjectA global framework for working out whether money is actually doing good, rather than just saying so. It measures what, who, how much, contribution and risk. and Impact Frontiers frameworks. Five dimensions: what, who, how much, contribution, and risk.

what kinds of companies get in?

Category B: businesses that benefit people and the planet through sustainable practices or inclusive products. Category C: companies that deliver actual solutions to global challenges, like renewable energy or the circular economy.

is this just greenwashing?

No. We screen for real, measurable outcomes. Not marketing claims, not sustainability reports nobody reads. A company that cannot prove its impact with data does not get in.

pillar 3

leadership calibre

Lasting impact comes from the people behind the business, so the leadership team gets screened as closely as the balance sheet.

what makes a good leader?

Integrity. A proven record of ethical governance and responsible decisions, rather than the right things said at conferences.

do they actually care about impact?

Vision. Executives committed to long-term value for society, not only for shareholders. We look at what they do, not at what they say.

what about diversity?

Diversity. Boards that reflect gender, ethnic and experiential diversity. We stay away from companies led by people tied to ESG controversiesWhen a company gets caught doing something dodgy on the environmental, social or governance front. Oil spills, wage theft, or board members done for fraud., regulatory violations or greenwashing.

how the score adds up.

Each company gets a score out of 100, built from the three pillars. Impact carries the most weight, because it is the reason the fund exists.

  • financial robustnesspillar 130%
  • purposeful impactpillar 240%
  • leadership calibrepillar 330%

3 of 3. A company has to clear every pillar. Failing one is enough to keep it out, whatever the other two say.

you can check our working.

Every company the fund holds is listed by name in the app for members, with the reason it is held. The screen above is the same one applied to each of them, so you can take any holding and put it back through the three questions yourself.

Where a company sits is a separate question from whether it gets in. The five themes, and the companies under each one, are set out in investment areas.

the highest scores

ten that made the cut.

The ten companies in the fund with the highest scores against the three pillars, as at 20 September 2026. Between them they span all seven classes. Members see every holding, and why it is held, in the app.
