how it works
three taps. one pass.
1pick your line
One of the ten, or two lines of your own. The thing you say, then the bit you usually leave off.
2pick a colour
Five to choose from. The pass is printed in whichever one you pick, asterisk and all.
3add it to your wallet
One tap and it sits in your wallet with its own number. Flip it over for the fine print.
what the pass is, and what it is not.
The asterisk pass is the line you say and the bit you leave off, printed on a pass that lives in your phone’s wallet next to your boarding passes and your coffee card. Every one is numbered, and no two people hold the same number.
It is not a membership and not a financial product. It costs nothing, and you do not need inaam to keep it. The code on the front opens the fine print below, which is the point: once you have said your asterisk out loud, you start reading everyone else’s.
Each pass carries its own number, in the order they are made. Early numbers stay early.

Your pass gets its own number. Joining inaam is a separate thing, and it happens in the app.
the deep dives
the fine print. ten companies, read properly.
Ten parts, and every claim links to the source it came from. Each one stands alone, so start with the company you use most, or the one you assumed was fine.

how each one is written
Same shape every time, so you can check the work rather than take our word for it.
01what happened
The claim, written out plainly, with every primary source linked where it sits. Company announcements, filings and the reporting that broke it.
02the timeline
What happened and when, dated, so a run of decisions reads as a run of decisions rather than one bad week.
03the asterisk
The limitation, said out loud. That cuts both ways: where a company is doing something real, that goes in too.
before you make one.
what is an asterisk?
The gap between what you say and what you actually do. Everyone has one. Saying it out loud is the point.
how does it get into my wallet?
Tap add to wallet. On an iPhone it goes into Apple Wallet, on Android into Google Wallet, with your line, your colour and your number.
what is the number?
The order the passes were made in. It is yours and nobody else holds the same one.
what happens to my email?
If you ask for it by email, we send you the pass. Nothing else is required of you, and you can unsubscribe whenever you want to.
what has this got to do with money?
Your money has an asterisk too, and it is the one almost nobody reads: where your savings, your super and your investments actually sit. That is what how inaam works is about.
what does inaam cost if I go further?
The subscription is $10 a month, $120 a year. That is a separate thing from the money you invest, and the minimum to invest in the fund is $100, as a lump sum or monthly. Sign-up is completed in the inaam app.
now find out what your money’s asterisk is.
The pass is the easy one. The harder one is sitting in your savings, your super and whatever you have invested, and nobody reads it for you.
